go ahead (with)– proceed to do something already planned
It’s an excellent plan. I think we should go ahead with it as soon as possible.

go on (about) – talk too much about something
“She can go on for hours about their holiday in Kenya last year.”

take over – take control of something
“Can you take over from me, while I make this phone call?”

take up with – start to be friendly with someone who may be a bad influence
“Jim’s taken up with this crowd of boys and I’m worried about him.”
